On number 5 I chose

on top of the mountain but the correct answer was at the beach,it is at the beach because there is less pressure at the top of the mountain because the higher you go the thinner the air is.

On number 8 I chose North to South but it was

West to east because in the picture because the air goes west to east which means

→← in the united states.

On number 13 I chose letter C but the answer was A because in the picture it was high up which meant a better chance of rain.

12/5 The Water Cycle

The Water Cycle

I learned new words like         Condensation,Evaporation.Precipitation,Transpiration,Subsurface, and Accumulation.I also learned that Runoff is underground Runoff.All the water cycle was very interesting I learned that runoff ends up in the ocean.

At my old school I only learned that the water turned to water vapor and the went up into the sky.But never the words Condensation,Evaporation.Precipitation,Transpiration,Subsurface, and Accumulation.My old school never told us about how Condensation makes clouds form.

I felt proud of my work because I took my time and did my homework so I am very satisfied.I also liked the project we did because I felt very happy and content with my water cycle cartoon.Because I used my brain and put my mind to my work.

Letter to Mr.Cuttatree

Dear, Mr. Cuttatree
 I heard that you are thinking on building a uppity resort but you should not build the resort because  building a resort because we will lose oxygen,Medicine and endangered animals.Also the blue moth may get lost for ever  if you build the resort and that is not good.We need the rainforest because it will look ugly when there are tree stumps everywhere.

Because cutting down trees will take away our oxygen away.And people with sickness's will die because of the oxygen lose,And people will get less oxygen than they normally do.Plants get rid of Carbon Dioxide and they release the air we need to breath.The rainforest is like the lungs of the earth.

Building the resort will affect the lose of medicine  because plant that scientists use will be gone Ans people that really need the medicine won't get it and they may die.And if Ebola spreads the doctors won't have the plant's they need to make the medicine if they find a cure.People will start dying without medicine.

Construction will cause endangered animals to drop down to extinct.The blue moths will die out.And the food chain/web will go crazy endangering other animals.The animals are important because they give us food and when scientists try to study some animals but the resort will make these animals extinct.

In conclusion I think you should not build a uppity resort because Medicine lose,animal extinction,and most importantly air we need to breath.we already have enough resorts in America.We need to protect the trees we must stop deforestation from happening. You can help by not building the resort and leaving the rainforest the way it is.

11/14 Deforestation

I learned that the rainforest or in any other places there could be going through deforestation.Deforestation is caused when a developer's decide to cut down tree's but that hurt's the animal's,and humans because it affect's the animal's because animals are a part of a food web which becomes affected when animals die,it affect's human because when we breath air the tree's give us oxygen to breath.

<sub>I did not know about Deforestation but now I know that Deforestation is the clearing of tree's transforming a forest into cleared land.We need trees to get oxygen and we need to protect endangered animals because they could become extinct.We need animals to give us food and things to survive but with their numbers decreasing we will be out of pig,sheep,cow,horse,turkey and more animals that provide food for us.

My goal was to get as much information of Deforestation as I could and it worked.I did not change my goal because then I would have to start all over to find the answers to my new goal.I learned a lot of things on Deforestation.Deforestation was a very good topic to learn about.Deforestation is very bad to animals and humans.</sub>
 

11/7 Rainforest Animal Report

                                                  Macaw

 

 

I learned that the Macaw’s are omnivores.Also I learned that a macaw’s hang around in groups or flock’s as people call them.I also learned that the Spix Macaw is extinct and the Hyacinth macaw is very very endangered.And that the ecosystem of the rainforest would go crazy.

I did not know much about this topic.All I know is that the Hyacinth macaw really really endangered.the macaw is very interesting.

The work was not frustrating.but it was very cool to learn about these macaws. The hard part was doing the citation.and the rest was pretty easy.

10/31 "Interdependence of Organisms - 2"

I learned that a food chain and a food web are almost the same.But a food chain shows what animals eat in a specific order.But a food web gives you a lots of animals that eats a specific animal like a mosquito gets eaten by a mouse and bird and a dragonfly.

 I have not done any of this food chain or food web at my old school.But now I know.I did know what they meant and things but not the actual process.

My goals were to get an A in my grade.But unfortunately I did not get what I hoped.But now I know I have to work harder to achieve my goal.

10/24 Interdependence of Organisms - 1

I learned that a food chain keeps everything alive.For example figs,monkeys,and eagles.the the fig gets energy from the sun but gets eaten by a monkey who is eaten by a eagle.

 In second grade we learned about the food chain and talked about the producers,consumers, and decomposer's.and till now I still remember the chain the plants and animals were in.we also talked about herbivores which eat plants.and carnivore which eats live animals.and a omnivore which eats everything.

I feel proud of my work and think I did a good job.I am confident about all my work I have done.I feel proud because I did not let anything stand in my way like tricky questions or quizzes.I disliked it because there were some downhills and uphills.
